Houston Texans have signed former Defensive End Antonio Smith to replace injured 3x DPOY, J.J. Watt. Watt has not missed a single game in his career, but could miss up to the rest of the season with a ongoing back injury. Antonio Smith departed from the Texans in 2013, but this will be a great substitution until the all-pro returns. This will obviously be a huge blow to the Texans defense considering Watt is such a critical part of this Houston team, but, this signing of Smith will make it that much bearable. The former Texan totaled 27 sacks in his 5 year stint with Texans, but even with this signing, Clowney will need to step up and raise the level of his play tremendously to fill in this gap of J.J. Watt.
